Winners Gallery [2011 - 1980]

Rules and Fees

Entry fees

The final cost of entry is:
IPA member agency- £999 + (£199.80 VAT)
Non-member organisation - £1,860 + (£372 VAT)

However, entrants are encouraged to pre-register their paper by the 31st January 2012. Pre-registrations means we can regularly keep you up to date with new workshops and opportunities for entrants. Pre-registered entries are also able to participate in our new Awards Advisory Scheme - where authors are paired with an Awards mentor (a previous entrant and/or judge) who can help you formulate your entry.

Pre-registration costs £100 (+ £20 VAT) but will be discounted from the cost of entry. Pre-registered papers will save 25% off their entry fee (payable on or before the entry deadline – 20th April 2012).

Participation in our Awards Advisory Scheme - payable at pre-registration stage - costs just £200 (+VAT) as this service is subsidised by the IPA.

Therefore:
Where £100 pre-registration of the entry has been received before the deadline of the 31st January 2012, the final entry fee will be discounted to the following:

IPA member agency - £749.25 + (£149.80 VAT)
Non-member organisation - £1,395 + (£249 VAT)

Joint Entries
Where two or more IPA member agencies have co-written the entry paper, the entrant agencies may share the cost of entry at the IPA member agency rate.

Where an IPA member agency enters a joint paper with a non-member organisation, the organisations may share the cost of the entry at the IPA member rate.

If a joint entry wins a prize, the nominated lead agency will receive the trophy with the names of all entrant agencies on the trophy. There will only be one trophy per winning entry. Additional trophies can be ordered after the event. Both agencies will receive copies of winning certificates.

Principal Authors
More than one author may be listed as a principal author. This person(s) is the individual(s) responsible for crafting the story of the paper. These authors will be credited in the Winners' Supplement; the on-screen presentation on the night of the Awards and in the published book of case papers; Advertising Works. If a principal author is a consultant then the consultant will be credited, eg. Joe Bloggs from entrant agency name, rather than under the consultancy name. Any consultants used must be credited appropriately - anonymous ghost writing is not permitted.

Contributing Authors
Contributing authors might be specialists, such as an econometrician or a consultant who has been asked to help an agency with an aspect, or aspects of an entry paper. Contributing authors may be attributed to their own companies, eg. Joe Bloggs from Joe Bloggs Consultancy.
Contributing authors may be named and acknowledged in either a single entry or in joint entries. Contributing authors who have worked on a winning paper will receive a mention in the Winners' Supplement and in the on-screen presentation on the night of the Awards. They will also be listed as a Contributing Author in Advertising Works
There is no need to credit consultants who have been paired with an agency through the Awards Advisory Service.

Contributing Companies
Companies who have contributed to the campaign, but not necessarily to the paper, will be credited within the AdWorks publication. These companies will not receive trophies nor certificates.
Any creative work submitted as part of the entry must credit the agency that produced the work.
