IPA Effectiveness Awards Entry Checklist

Alongside your 4,000 word entry you will need to supply the IPA with other items, which are listed below.

You can upload the following parts of your entry onto your online entry manager 'My Entry': (Your entry must be completed online by strictly 12 noon on Friday 20th April 2012)

1.    A copy of the written entry in MS Word (NO pdfs or InDesign formats).  Please include all graphs and tables within this document.

Please ensure the diagrams etc you put in your Word doc are editable files, preferably from the original software which the diagram was prepared in (Excel, Illustrator etc). EPS and PDF files are acceptable if they contain only vector information and no bit-maps. Bit-map files (JPG, TIF, BMP, Photoshop) are not acceptable.

All images/diagrams/graphs and charts will be printed in monochrome. Please review for suitability for reproduction in black and white.

Please ensure that axes are labelled appropriately with a scale or with units of measurement or value.

All images should be at least 115mm wide and have a resolution of at least 300dpi. Preferably they should be converted to greyscale. The preferred file format is TIFF. If supplying as JPG files, please ensure that the JPG compression is turned off and that the files have ‘maximum quality’.  Composite images (several images combined into one overall image) should be supplied as one file.

Please review images containing type for legibility when converted to greyscale and sized at a maximum width of 115mm.

 

2.    List of authors and contributing authors, their companies and emails

 

3.    1 x 100 word summary - This will primarily be used for PR purposes.

·         Outline the challenge/problem faced

·         Describe what you did – the fundamentals of the campaign

·         Summarise the results – including key financial rewards. 

 

4.    Email address of Agency CEO or equivalent

 

5.    Email address of the senior client executive responsible for the campaign
(The IPA will send an automated email to these email addresses confirming that the entry paper has been received and that their consent has been given. It is important therefore that such consent is received prior to submission of the entry paper. Failure to do so may cause embarrassment and lead to withdrawal/disqualification of the entry.)

 

6.    1 x FLV format version, and 1 x MPEG format version of any TV ads for use on the Effectiveness Awards website to be uploaded with your submission.

 

7.    Payment made payable to IPA (see rules and entry fees for more information)  


You will also need to send the following items to Bryony Clare, IPA Effectiveness Awards, 44 Belgrave Square, London, SW1X 8QS by noon Tuesday 24th April 2012:

1 disc clearly labelled with:

·         At least one visual example of each media used in eps AND jpeg or tiff files, to be provided at 300dpi in CMYK. Each example must be clearly labelled: Brand, Media etc. For press and PR purposes.

·         All agency and client logos in eps & jpeg formats in colour and black and white.

An additional 20 bound copies of the paper entry to be submitted to the IPA no later than two working days after the entry deadline.

You are also required to complete the remainder of the Databank questionnaire by 1st June 2012. This is not part of the judging process by a mandatory requirement for entrants.


The deadline for entries into the 2012 IPA Effectiveness Awards will be Friday 20th April 2012.
